Michael Strong, Worldwide Director, Engineering and Packaging, Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Systems
Michael Strong is the Worldwide Director, Engineering and Packaging at Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Systems with responsibility for technology development and deployment for enterprise-level order fulfillment. Michael has accountability for process, systems, facilities, and technology innovation within the order fulfillment centers for J&J globally. Prior to joining J&J Healthcare Systems he held various technical and business leadership positions in Johnson & Johnson Vision Care (JJVC) Research and Development as well as Supply Chain.
Michael started his career with JJVC (formerly Vistakon) in 1992 helping deliver their first automation solutions. He progressed through various manufacturing assignments delivering innovative technology and products. He then moved to Research and Development in project management, process development, and new product introduction roles.
Notable in his six years as Director of Process Development at JJVC, he led teams that delivered more than a dozen new products and manufacturing platforms to commercial scale and was awarded a process and technology patent. Michael’s work has been published internationally, and he has been recognized within the J&J family as an expert in product development, innovation and scale-up. He has been assigned to various independent teams to consult on diabetes care technology, anti-microbial catheter development, and drug-eluting implantable devices.
